Ask her to hang out just the two of you. If she asks if you mean a date, then tell her straight up that you do. Its easier to talk to people in a setting where it is just the two of you. If you have trouble talking again, tell her she makes you nervous. She'll get then that you like her, and will probably forgive you for struggling with conversation, and perhaps even find it cute. Just be yourself, I know its terribly lame to say, but if she doesn't like you then she's not worth it. And if she has been around, follow your friends advice and be careful, do not get hurt cause that just sucks =(. But good luck, and I wish you two the best.
