FRENCH SPEAKERS please help!?

I think you are supposed to tack a "de" after some of these maybe? Like en haut de or en bas de a gauche de or a droite de, etc, etc....If you want to use them in front of something (an object) in particular that you are referring to. If nothing in particular is used as an object, then leave the "de" out. I am rusty, but that is how I remember it.
