Would this offend you?

It would definitely offend me. I just think that if someone says something like that to a mother, the mother automatically thinks that that person believes they aren't a good/proper mother. And that's just insulting. I probably would have reacted the same exact way and would have felt very insulted that I seemed like a careless mother or something.
